Legend of Fantasy War Battle Mechanism Overview

The match takes place in real-time. Each character has 3 active skills including 1 automatic skill (Normal) and 2 active skills (Special Skill 1 and Special Skill 2). Each character has its own speed, thus players can estimate the distance of the character’s movement based on this factor.

Every time the character is turning, if it is not disabled by the status (stun, paralysis, freeze, immobilization, etc.) then it will automatically use automatic skills. Each situation that occurs during the battle will accumulate MP for the common MP bar (as being shown 150/150 at the bottom of the figure below).

The table below lists the amount of mana gained under different attacking situations in Legend of Fantasy War.

When enough MP is accumulated, you can use the Activation (Special Skill) skill of one of the characters. The player can also accumulate more energy to use the skill Fusion (a combination skill of all 5 party members and requires 5 members to be alive).

• Critical Chance: increasing the hero’s chance to deal critical strikes.

BACK:

• Resistance: increasing the hero’s resistance.

Golden Lion King is an SSR Rank Fire hero who can dish out an absurd amount of physical damage thanks to his remarkable innate critical chance and damage. There are not a lot of heroes who can compete with Golden Lion King for the DPS role.

Moreover, unlike traditional DPS who are squishy, Golden Lion King is relatively tanky as his base stats are quite impressive, making him an ideal choice for any formation. The Crit position is the Mid Line is the obvious choice for Golden Lion King.

Along with Golden Lion King, Slayer Queen is one of the only 2 SSR Rank heroes in the Mystery Box II event. She is a Water hero who is capable of delivering a massive amount of burst damage which cannot be evaded.

Moreover, Slayer Queen deals increased damage to Fire units, making her a fearsome enemy for the Fire element. You can deploy her in the Mid Line for Attack or Crit positions, the Hit buff does not mean much to her as her abilities are guaranteed to hit.

If damage-over-time playstyle is your cup of tea, Gentle Flute is perfect for you. Gentle Flute is a top-tier assassin who is SR rank and can deliver a swift and painful death to his enemies with his deadly poison.

Furthermore, Gentle Flute can attack up to 3 targets at the same time and his abilities ignore the targets’ defense, which means Gentle Flute can easily shred even the best tanks in Legend of Fantasy War.

Sorrow Witch is an SR Rank Earth hero who is able to stun the whole enemy team in one strike, significantly disrupting them.

In addition, Sorrow Witch is quite of a slippery target to grab as she has very high evasion, making her a decent semi-tank when put in the Evasion position in the Front Line and she can also be played as a sub-DPS. Sorrow Witch is a valuable asset for your team as she can fit multiple roles.

Don’t be fooled when you see Fragile Wing being only R rarity hero. She is a Metal hero who is remarkably tanky. The ability to significantly enhance her allies’ physical and magic attack makes her one of the most flexible heroes in the game who can fit in both physical and magical team compositions. But that is not all, Fragile Wing can also increase her team’s defensive stats and regeneration.

Overall, despite her rarity being R, she is a must-have hero in your team. As a tank, Fragile Wing can be put in all positions in the Front Line as she benefits from all of the buffs. Or you can definitely deploy her in the Back Line’s Support position to improve her buffs on the team.

By default, an equipment, at any grade, has 0 star. In order to level it up, it must be upgraded to 05 stars using Gold and Crystalized Souls. The number of Crystalized Souls consumed increases along with the equipment’s grades, which means it gets more and more costly as the grades of the equipment rise.

Once an equipment reaches 05 stars, it can be leveled up with Gold and Soul Stones. Similar to upgrading equipment’s stars, the number of materials consumed in this process goes up with the grades. For each star the equipment gains, its base stats are raised as well.

While Crystalized Soul is a generic material, Soul Stones, on the other hand, is specified by equipment types.

There are 5 different types of Soulstones in Legend of Fantasy War game:

• Weapon,
• Armor,
• Necklace,
• Ring,
• Boots.

Furthermore, Soul Stones also have grades like equipment. A specific grade requires its corresponding color of Soul Stone to level up, on the above picture, Green Armor requires Blue Armor Soul Stones to level it up to Blue Armor.

There is no RNG taking place while leveling equipment, so you are guaranteed to successfully level up your gear all the time. Leveled-up equipment has increased stats and sub-elements as well as its maximum enhancement, making it more superior to the lower grade ones.

Enhancement in Legend of Fantasy War

Enhancement increases all stats of the equipment and each equipment has its maximum capacity of enhancement based on its grade, hence the higher the grade is, the more enhancement the equipment can get.

Enhancement requires two materials in Legend of Fantasy War game:

• Gold: a universal currency in Legend of Fantasy War, which can be obtained in a lot of activities.
• Mystical Crystal: increases successful chance of enhancement. Can be obtained in Crusade, Mock Battle, Treasure Hunt, GEM Shop or synthesizing.

You must insert Mystical Crystal to perform enhancement on your equipment. There are a maximum five slots to insert Mystical Crystal in the Enhancement window. The more Mystical Crystal you insert, the better chance of success you have.

The two pictures above illustrate the differences between different enhancement levels.

The first picture (1) is an equipment with 0 enhancement, it costs 10 Gold and 01 Mystical Crystal 1 to enhance with 100% success rate. While on the other picture (2), the same equipment, at level enhancement, costs 30 gold and 03 Mystical Crystal 1 to enhance with 100% success rate.

Currently, the maximum level of Mystical Crystal is 11 but you can only purchase Mystical Crystal 4 in GEM Shop, higher level Mystical Crystal must be obtained in other activities. Higher level Mystical Crystal also gives a better success rate.

Equipment has a limit of how many times it can be enhanced, excluding failures. Higher grade equipment has higher limits. The number of successful enhancements made on an equipment is depicted as a yellow number on its icon.

As the enhancements reach a higher level, it consumes more Gold and has a lower success chance. Enhancements that fail will consume Gold and all Mystical Crystal used, but worry not as the enhancement level of the equipment remains unchanged if you fail.

Refinement in Legend of Fantasy War

Another function that adds more depth to the hero’s equipment. Refinement provides additional affixes in the equipment, called “sub-elements”. Similar to Enhancement, Refinement also depends on equipment’s grade, meaning higher grade equipment has more sub-elements.

Refinement requires two material:

• Gold: a universal currency in LFW, which can be obtained in a lot of activities.
• Smithing Hammer: activates refinement slots and augments existing sub-elements. Can be obtained in Mock Battle or purchased in GEM Shop and Guild Shop.

By default, White equipment has one opening refinement slot and for every level it has, the number of slots increases by one, hence Green has two slots, Blue has three slots and so on.

When an equipment has a refinement slot available, you can activate that slot using Gold and one Smithing Hammer, regardless of the equipment’s grade. However, augmenting an existing sub-element costs more Gold and Smithing Hammers for everytime you perform this action.

An extremely important note you should keep in mind is that the sub-elements revealed when you activate the slots are all random and not fixed. So, the value of an equipment can be significantly raised by its sub-elements. A well-rolled White Weapon can cost much more than a badly-rolled Purple one.

Transfer in Legend of Fantasy War

In order to give players more freedom to experience different heroes, Legend of Fantasy War offers an interesting feature called “Transfer”. It basically allows you to transfer the property of a piece of equipment to another, including its enhancement and refinement.

To perform this action, you will need:

• Gold: a universal currency in Legend of Fantasy War, which can be obtained in a lot of activities.
• Smithing Hammer: Can be obtained in Mock Battle or purchased in GEM Shop and Guild Shop.

You can choose equipment that is being used by your heroes to transfer. However, the equipment grade is not transferred in this process and only pieces that have the same grade can be chosen as original and receiving ends.

Furthermore, you can choose to preview the outcome of the transfer before you decide, as shown in the below pictures.

This feature may come in handy in dire situations such as when one of your heroes is “injured” in the Story Questline. Although you cannot deploy an injured hero, you can still interact with it, meaning you are able to alter its level, skills and equipment. Using “Transfer” to transfer that injured hero’s equipment status to another’s can save you a lot of time as you do not have to grind for more resources to invest in other heroes. And after you successfully heal the injured hero, you can revert the transfer easily.

Disintegrate in Legend of Fantasy War

This is a great way to utilize the “leftover” equipment that you find no use. Disintegrating equipment gives you back Crystalized Souls, an essential resource used to upgrade equipment’s star.

You can also mass select equipment to disintegrate by choosing the “Fast Disintegrate” option in the HUD.

Synthesize in Legend of Fantasy War

In Legend of Fantasy War, there are no items unused or deemed worthless, especially Mystical Crystal. This is an absolutely valuable resource that will remain sought after throughout the game at all stages because of how important it is in upgrading and perfecting equipment.

If you find low level Mystical Crystal no longer useful for you in enhancing your equipment, you can start merging them into higher level Mystical Crystal by using the “Synthesize” feature. It is a highly effective way to obtain rarer pieces of this resource.

Upon choosing ingredients for synthesization, the HUD will show the possible outcomes of the process with specific rates, as shown in the picture below.

As you can see, by placing 02 Mystical Crystal 1 and 01 Mystical Crystal 2 in the synthesize window, you have a chance to receive 01 Mystical Crystal 3 or in case you fail, you will only receive 01 Mystical Crystal 2 for the price of 02 Mystical Crystal 1 and 01 Mystical Crystal 2. The chance of a successful upgrade is increased by the number of Mystical Crystal you input as well as the level of the ingredients.

When the chance of obtaining a Mystical Crystal with 01 level higher exceeds 100%, you will have a chance to obtain the next level Mystical Crystal. That means you can get Mystical Crystal 4 with just Mystical Crystal 2, given that Lady Lucky smiles at you.
