What’s an Axie? How to play Axie Infinity
Axies are fantasy creatures that can be fought, collected, and raised by players.
Each Axie has unique characteristics that determine their role in battle.

What are Axie Stats?
Each Axie has 4 stats as listed below:
- Health (HP)
- Morale
- Skill
- Speed
Here you can see the explanations of Axie stats:
Health (HP): The maximum amount of damage your Axie can withstand before being knocked out.
Morale: Morale raises the likelihood of a critical strike. It also increases the likelihood of entering the last stand and adds more last stand “ticks.”
Skill: When an Axie plays multiple cards at once, Skill increases the damage called combo. The additional damage is calculated as follows: 500/ (card attack * skill)
Speed: Turn order is determined by speed. Axies with greater speed attack first. If two Axies have the same speed.
The stats of an Axie are determined by two factors: its class and its body parts.

What are Axie Body Parts?
Each Axie has 6 body parts as listed below:
- Eyes
- Ears
- Horn
- Mouth
- Back
- Tail
All these Axie body parts determine which cards an Axie can use in battle.
Depending on the class of the part, each body part adds stats like below table:
Plant | 3 Health + 1 Morale |
Aqua | 3 Speed + 1 Health |
Reptile | 3 Health + 1 Speed |
Beast | 3 Morale + 1 Speed |
Bug | 3 Morale + 1 Health |
Bird | 3 Speed + 1 Morale |
What are Axie Classes?
Each Axie has a class, which is similar to Pokemon’s .
Each class has advantages and disadvantages when compared to other classes.
When calculating damage, the attacking move’s card class is compared to the defender’s Axie class.
This means that a Bird card used to attack a Beast Axie will deal 15% more damage.
When a Beast card is used to attack an Aquatic Axie, it deals 15% less damage.

Furthermore, when an Axie of a specific class uses a card from that class, it gains a 10% attack/shield bonus.
For example, a Plant Axie who plays a plant card will gain 10% more attack/shield.
It’s worth noting that these bonuses stack.
A Beast Axie using a Beast card against a Plant target will deal 25% (10% + 15%) more damage.
What are Axie Battle System Mechanics?
The Axie battle system is a turn-based card game in which your team of three Axies must eliminate all enemies.
Each turn, a player must strategically play cards in order to increase their chances of winning.
